Characteristics
TSUYUHIKARI is an esteemed cultivar renowned for its intense umami profile.
Abiding by the hybrid of SIZU7132 and ASATSUYU, this selection has a unique aroma and umami strength.
Its low astringency and potent umami make it a favorite among young Japanese drinkers.

Special Notes
This OG Oolong tea is a dark brownish-green with a strong brownish tinge.
It produces a strong, robust cup similar to that of coffee or black tea.
It has a wilted aroma characteristic of a mountainous region and has a greater flavor and body than watery sencha.
It is astringent but also has a strong umami and is recommended to be drunk plain, but can be enhanced with sugar or milk.
It provides a great flavor base for tapioca milk tea, however prolonged extraction can increase the astringency.
