Whether you're a matcha novice or a seasoned connoisseur, we'll help you find the perfect organic Japanese tea for your taste buds. Join us as we dive into the fascinating realm of matcha, exploring its grades and revealing the secrets to unlocking the ultimate tea experience.

Understanding the Basics:
Before we delve into the different matcha grades, let's start with the basics. Matcha is a traditional Japanese green tea that has gained worldwide popularity due to its unique cultivation and preparation techniques. It's no wonder matcha has become a beloved beverage for health enthusiasts and tea lovers alike.

Organic Japanese Tea: A Healthier Choice:
When it comes to selecting your perfect cup of matcha, opting for organic Japanese tea is a wise decision. By choosing organic matcha, you ensure that the tea leaves are cultivated without the use of harmful pesticides or chemicals, preserving the integrity of its natural flavors and health benefits. So, let's explore the top three organic matcha varieties available: ceremonial grade, culinary grade, and premium grade.

Ceremonial Grade Matcha: A Sublime Experience:
If you're seeking the crème de la crème of matcha, look no further than ceremonial grade matcha. This top-tier matcha boasts vibrant green hues, a velvety texture, and a delicate flavor profile. Sourced from the youngest tea leaves, ceremonial grade matcha is perfect for traditional tea ceremonies and for those who desire a truly authentic matcha experience. Its mild umami notes and subtly sweet taste make it a favorite among matcha purists.

Culinary Grade Matcha: A Versatile Delight:
For those who enjoy experimenting with matcha-infused recipes, culinary grade matcha is the ideal choice. With a slightly bolder flavor and a vibrant green color, this grade of matcha is perfect for baking, smoothies, lattes, and other culinary creations. It lends a delightful earthiness to your dishes, allowing you to explore a whole new world of culinary possibilities. Culinary grade matcha strikes a balance between quality and affordability, making it a popular choice for both home cooks and professional chefs.

Premium Grade Matcha: A Harmonious Blend:
If you're seeking a matcha that combines the best qualities of ceremonial and culinary grades, premium grade matcha is your go-to option. With a vibrant green color and a smooth, mellow flavor profile, this grade strikes a delightful balance between the ceremonial and culinary worlds. It's perfect for those who want to enjoy a high-quality matcha experience at an affordable price. Premium grade matcha is versatile enough to be enjoyed both as a traditional tea and in various culinary creations.

Organic Sencha: A Refreshing Alternative:
While matcha takes center stage in the world of Japanese tea, it's worth mentioning another popular choice: organic sencha. Sencha is a classic green tea known for its refreshing taste and numerous health benefits. Similar to matcha, choosing organic sencha ensures a more natural and sustainable tea-drinking experience.
Embarking on a journey through the different grades of matcha and exploring the world of organic Japanese tea is a delightful and fulfilling experience. Whether you prefer the sublime elegance of ceremonial grade matcha, the versatility of culinary grade matcha, or the harmonious balance of premium grade matcha, there's a matcha variety that perfectly suits your taste and preferences.

My favourite

The taste is balanced And not too bitter

Thank you so much for sharing your taste review. :)

Balanced of sweetness and bitterness

This one is the perfect balance of sweetness and bitterness for me. I am not fan of bitterness of tea but this combination of sweetness and little bitt of bitterness makes me feel energetic. I smell and taste the freshness with every sip in the morning. it contains 20 grams I feel the quantity is not too much. So now I wanna try their other matcha to compare.

Hello, Amber.
Thanks for leaving a thoughtful review about our matcha.

My Favorite Matcha

I have used this Koiai matcha for 3 years now since my Japanese friend recommend. I love it! It is the best I have tasted. It's fresh and nutty as well. I used to drink coffee every morning but now I make my own Matcha lattes at home. It is very dense because it is high quality ceremonial matcha so make sure you sift matcha for creamy and foaming.

Thank you for loving KOIAI Matcha. We will share this great review with our farmers. Thank you again.

Lacking customer service

I reached out twice to Osada Tea regarding my tea order, once before I bought the tea and once after regarding the discount that I did not apply and the first time a question about radiation. I never heard from anybody on either of my questions. Also the tea that I ordered tastes really bad and I don’t know why but I just can’t drink it so I was a bit of a waste of money for me and I will not be re-ordering
