Osada OG Hojicha Powder is made with og green tea powder and is an award-winning blend of tea master cultivars.

It is harvested in Japan during Spring, Fall, and Winter and is roasted at a level 10 to maximize its umami and aroma.

With its low caffeine levels and perfect balance of umami and aroma, OG Hojicha Powder is ideal for lattes, baked goods, and other products.

Instruction

HOJICHA Latte for 1 tea bowl
(1) Sift HOJICHA Powder: 1 tsp (4g) (0.14oz)
(2) Add 30ml (1oz) hot water 95℃ (203℉)
(3) Whisk until foamy with a bamboo chasen
(4) Add your favorite hot milk 180ml (6oz)
(5) Add a sweet flavor to your preferred

Characteristics

Hojicha is a green tea processed through strong roasting, resulting in a strong aroma that stops just short of burning.

Its flavor and character greatly differ from that of Sencha, and it has much less astringency and caffeine than either Sencha or Matcha.

It is essential to complete the roasting process without burning as burning will create a bitter and disagreeable taste.

The perfect balance of umami and aroma is achieved just before the burning point.
