Harvesting Japanese Green Tea
It was a beautiful spring day in 2023, and the tea farmers in the lush countryside of Japan were eagerly awaiting the start of the first tea harvest of the season. The winter had been mild, and the tea plants had thrived in the cool, moist weather. The first flush of tender, young leaves was ready to be plucked and processed into the world-renowned Japanese green tea.

The tea farmers rose early and donned their traditional straw hats and woven baskets. They made their way to the fields, where the tea bushes were neatly arranged in rows, their vibrant green leaves shimmering in the morning dew.

With practiced hands, the farmers carefully selected the finest leaves, picking only the topmost leaves and the unopened buds. They moved quickly and efficiently, their nimble fingers working in harmony with the gentle rhythm of the breeze. The harvested leaves were carefully placed in woven baskets, which were carried to the nearby processing plant.

Inside the plant, the leaves were spread out on bamboo trays and allowed to wither for several hours. Then, they were steamed to halt oxidation, which gives Japanese green tea its distinctive flavor. The steamed leaves were rolled and shaped, releasing the fragrant aroma that is the hallmark of high-quality green tea. Finally, the leaves were dried and sorted by size and quality, ready to be packaged and shipped to tea lovers all over the world.

As the sun began to set, the tea farmers gathered together for a traditional Japanese tea ceremony, savoring the fruits of their labor. They brewed the freshly harvested tea in delicate porcelain cups, admiring the pale green color and subtle aroma. They sipped the tea slowly, appreciating its smooth, refreshing flavor and the knowledge that they had produced something truly special.

The first harvest of Japanese green tea in 2023 was a resounding success, a testament to the skill and dedication of the farmers who had tended to the tea plants with care and attention. And as the days grew warmer and the tea plants continued to grow, the farmers knew that there would be many more bountiful harvests to come.

My favourite

The taste is balanced And not too bitter

Thank you so much for sharing your taste review. :)

Balanced of sweetness and bitterness

This one is the perfect balance of sweetness and bitterness for me. I am not fan of bitterness of tea but this combination of sweetness and little bitt of bitterness makes me feel energetic. I smell and taste the freshness with every sip in the morning. it contains 20 grams I feel the quantity is not too much. So now I wanna try their other matcha to compare.

Hello, Amber.
Thanks for leaving a thoughtful review about our matcha.

My Favorite Matcha

I have used this Koiai matcha for 3 years now since my Japanese friend recommend. I love it! It is the best I have tasted. It's fresh and nutty as well. I used to drink coffee every morning but now I make my own Matcha lattes at home. It is very dense because it is high quality ceremonial matcha so make sure you sift matcha for creamy and foaming.

Thank you for loving KOIAI Matcha. We will share this great review with our farmers. Thank you again.

Lacking customer service

I reached out twice to Osada Tea regarding my tea order, once before I bought the tea and once after regarding the discount that I did not apply and the first time a question about radiation. I never heard from anybody on either of my questions. Also the tea that I ordered tastes really bad and I don’t know why but I just can’t drink it so I was a bit of a waste of money for me and I will not be re-ordering
